Main Differences Between Animal and Plant Cells

Chloroplasts

Another important difference is the presence of chloroplasts in plant cells. Animal cells do not have chloroplasts and therefore cannot perform photosynthesis.

In addition to these differences, plant cells often have larger vacuoles compared to animal cells, which play a role in storing water and maintaining turgor pressure.
